Recently, in order to cooperate with the implementation of the air pollution prevention and control action plan, the Ministry of environmental protection is brewing its supporting air pollution prevention and control science and technology action plan, which will support scientific and technological key projects related to air pollution prevention and control through special funds.

Technologies related to the prevention and control of air pollution, such as desulfurization and denitration technology improvement, motor vehicle exhaust, fine particle treatment, pollution source analysis and air pollution prediction and early warning, are all supported by the science and technology action plan. Among them, air pollution prevention and control technologies related to VOC (volatile organic compounds) and technologies related to fine particulate matter treatment will become one of the priorities supported by the action plan. At present, the Ministry of environmental protection has established an expert group with the participation of multiple departments and units. In the future, enterprises, scientific research institutes and universities can apply for relevant special funds of the action plan.

Industry insiders believe that the introduction of the action plan will become another special science and technology policy dedicated to supporting air pollution prevention and control after the 12th Five Year Plan of blue sky science and technology project. In October 2012, the Ministry of science and technology and the Ministry of environmental protection jointly announced the "12th Five Year" special plan for the blue sky science and technology project, which proposed to raise social funds through multiple channels and levels, increase investment in the implementation of key special projects of the blue sky science and technology project, actively use the financial and capital markets, introduce science and technology venture capital into the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, and carry out specialized enterprise loan risk compensation Pilot work such as subsidies after technology R & D and equity pledge loans of high-tech enterprises. It also provides technical schemes and demonstration practice for air pollution prevention and control in about 10 key regions and large and medium-sized cities.
